Gymnastics 2012

Congratulations to our amazing gymnastics team who, due to a lot of hard work and missed lunchtimes have achieved some amazing results in the recent inter-school competition.

The Year 4 Girls (Team One) won first place in their division. Well done Zoe, Madeleine, Lauren and Milly. In addition to winning the team award, Zoe, Medeleine and Lauren placed first, second and third respectively in the individual Year 4 Girls competition.

Close behind Team One the Year 4 Girls (Team Two) won third place in their division. Well done Paige, Sydney, Madison and Amiria.

Not to be outdone by the Year 4 Girls, the Year 5 Girls (Team One) also won first place In their division. Well done Lauren, Miriam, Briana and Zipporah. In addition to the team award Lauren, Miriam and Zipporah achieved first, second and third respectively in their individual competition.

Our second Year 5 Girls team - Team Two - won second place in their division. Congratulations to Alana, Krystal, Renee and Nia.

To complete a clean sweep of first places our Year 6 Girls (Team One) also won first place in their division. Well done to Jade, Yazmin, Amelia and Jasmin, we are incredibly proud of you. Congratulations to Jade and Yazmin who won first and second respectively in their individual competition.

Our Year 6 Boys (Team One) won third place in a fiercely competed division. Well done to Oliver, Grant, Reuben and Corey. Congratulations to Oliver who achieved a third place finish in the individual competition for Year 6 Boys.

Congratulations also go to Cameron D. who won first place in the individual competition for Year 5 Boys.

Well done to the rest of the team, many of whom are celebrating top ten finishes in their individual competitions. Congratulations Jesse, Morgan Woolston, Abby, Grace, Reid, Liam, Ryan, Thomas, Billy, Tyler, Lewis, Ryan, Elliot H, Elliot W-R, Jayden, Sam, Dylan, Jayden and Cameron B.

I suspect we will see some of these students representing New Zealand at future Olympic games. Many are already achieving amazing results at National Competitions. Zoe D. competed at a recent competition in Tauranga.
